
For qualified buyers, the following process will expedite acquiring a Butterfly Fields Bull Terrier puppy:
The Purchase Agreement
Upon receipt of a deposit (20% of the purchase price), a puppy will be reserved for the buyer. A Purchase Agreement will be provided to the buyer.
The purchase Agreement describes the responsibilities for both the buyer and the breeder. This Purchase Agreement has been developed over many years of experience to ensure both parties are protected. A Refund Schedule is included in this agreement along with a description of the Health Guarantee. A copy of this Purchase Agreement can be provided prior to receipt of your deposit.
Deposit
The above deposit may be submitted at any time prior to the pup being conceived, or whelped (when the pup is born), or any time thereafter prior to the transfer of the puppy. Naturally, deposits on file command a higher likelihood of receiving a puppy as they are made available for sale. Deposits may be in the form of cash, a bank check, a personal check, or a money order. At this time we are not accepting credit cards.
Balance Due
Balance of purchase price plus any additional charges relating to shipping will be due at time of transfer of pup. All balance money must be in the form of CASH IN HAND (i.e. - your check must have cleared) prior to transfer of pup.
Shipping
For those buyers not picking up their puppy in person, but electing to have their puppy shipped via commercial airlines, the following procedure is required:
1. Usually within a couple of weeks of transfer of puppy, specific flight information and related charges will be phoned or emailed to the prospective buyer. It is the responsibility of the buyer to ensure all balanced monies are in hand to breeder prior to shipment date. To ensure this, please allow sufficient time for personal checks to be cleared through the bank. Or, better, send a bank check or money order. Have this money instrument sent directly to the breeder's mailing address. Do not require a signed receipt for this money instrument, i.e., correspondence, as this will greatly delay the money being received. It is strongly advised to send this balance due in the shortest, most reliable manner to ensure timely receipt thereof thus avoiding the possibility of missing the reserved flight. If this occurs, additional costs may be incurred arranging another flight itinerary.
2. Shipment of pups involve the following charges being incurred:
Actual ticket cost
Shipping crate
Vet Certificate of Health issued within 10 days of flight
Drop off at airport charge
3. Once balance is received, pup will be shipped. We have shipped puppies for many years on commercial airlines with absolutely no problems. The airlines are very good about this service they offer. There are both common and unique criteria the airlines follow. However, the health and safety of the puppy is always the first and foremost priority.
