Visiting D.C.?   Butterfly Fields is ideally located for you to explore our nation's capital while still having the chance to escape to a quiet farm setting.   To explore the city, we recommend exploring the following:

If boating is your style, consider charting a boat to go out on the Chesapeake, rent a canoe or kayak and explore Jug Bay Park, or go fishing the Upper Bay Charter Captains Association.   Charters leaving Deale or Galesville are about 10 minutes from our B&B.

Our Area

Butterfly Fields is centrally located between our nation's capital, Washington, D.C., our state capital, Annapolis, and Baltimore, Maryland.  Our unique location is ideal for the boating enthusiast, Washington D.C. visitors, Annapolis visitors, and horse enthusiasts.  Our quick access to the Chesapeake Bay area is wonderful.  There are so many recreational and cultural offerings.  Our B&B's secluded contry setting is a half mile off the main road and offers peace and quiet to the person looking to "get away from it all," yet in just minutes you can access bustling city life.

Butterfly Fields has unique access to many equine events in our area as well.  We are approx. 7 miles from The Showplace Arena, in Upper Marlboro, MD.  Butterfly Fields offers the closest accommodations to stay at when attending the many varied events they host such as sporting events, graduations, and horse events.

Another equine organization, the Marlborough Hunt Club, is also nearby.  Located in Southern Maryland, The Marlborough Hunt Club's territory extends into Prince George's, Anne Arundel, and parts of Calvert and Charles counties.  If you are visiting our area to hunt with the club, we'd love to have you stay at Butterfly Fields!
